FUNDRAISING GALAS

“I want to express my sincere gratitude for the part you played in making Gateway’s Gala a smashing success.  The food was absolutely amazing – delicious and beautifully presented.  The servers were gracious, outgoing, and completely accommodating.  They definitely contributed to the festive atmosphere of the evening.  It was seamlessly executed.

A special thank you to you, Laurie.  It was such a pleasure to work with you.  You made it so easy for us and if we tried your patience (and I’m sure there were those moments) you never let on!  You are the consummate professional and I hope that we will have the opportunity to work together again.

Jim, thank you, thank you.  You took on this event with enthusiasm and generosity.  I am impressed with your commitment to all segments of the local community, from the farmers to the artists at Gateway, and to providing excellence in everything you take on.  I look forward to many delicious dinners at The Fireplace.

“I want to take a moment to thank you again for working with the Lupus Foundation New England on our Gala Cocktail Party.

Your menu choices, staff and expertise were amazing.  Your attention to every detail from the mouthwatering food, creative venue set up to the themed cocktails is really why our event is still talked about today.  You and your staff were so professional and extremely courteous to all our guests and we can’t thank you enough.”

“On behalf of the Bostonian Society, I would like to convey how immensely rewarding we found the experience of working with Chef Jim Solomon and his capable team at The Fireplace, in creating a unique occasion for some of our institution’s most important supporters.  I have only the highest praise for the professionalism and artistry of Mr. Solomon and his staff.  As part of the 300th anniversary of Boston’s iconic Old State House, the Bostonian Society recently hosted an exclusive dinner for two dozen board members and donors in one of our historic chambers.  Because events in such a special space require equally special cuisine, we asked Mr. Solomon to collaborate with us in creating a colonial-themed meal.  Mr. Solomon and his team did not disappoint.  He and his food were hits with all attendees.  I fear that our historic site presents some unusual challenges for a caterer proposing a world-class meal.  Solomon, however, is sensitive to the requirements that come with an 18th century space and adapted with aplomb to the limitations imposed in food preparation and presentation.  He clearly chooses his staff carefully, and his servers brought elegance and style to the event.”

“Thank you so much for all of your efforts,  and your staff’s efforts, last night.  Everything was wonderful!  I knew the food would be fantastic, but your staff, too, was terrific.  They were everywhere, they were pleasant and helpful, and they did an amazing job of doing THEIR job without us realizing it.”
